Not an Auction!
Join us for an evening of FUNraising and celebration!
Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the Depot Art Center in Anacortes.
This is our fourth annual evening event at the Depot, with a twist. It raises funds to support arts education for Anacortes school children. This year we are getting away from a traditional auction and moving to a fun experience-based evening.
The celebration will include dueling pianos entertainment, food-truck small plates, a hosted bar, craft cocktails created by Mixologist Tim Moffitt and a variety of art experiences. And, of course, the ever-important dessert… BumbleBerry Cobbler by Gere-a-Deli.
If you’ve never been to a dueling piano event, prepare for a fabulously good time. KillerKeyz will perform any song your imagination can come up with. Bid against your friends to hear the best of country music or to get them to stop playing the best of country music. Request your team’s fight song or the good ol’ standard Highway to Heaven!
Everytime you bid to play a song or stop a song, your bid goes directly to the Anacortes School District’s art programs. We will first fund the Cultural Education Program to bring art, music and theater to our kids and then we’ll see how much more we can accomplish. All while dancing and singing along! It’s a hoot and the energy is addictive.
When KillerKeyz aren’t performing, you can grab a tasty bite from Random Acts of Food or Vagabond Food Trucks. Choose from an ice cold beer, a great glass of wine or a craft cocktail to go along with your delicious dinner. While you are eating, you can catch the action of Jennifer Bowman and Terry MacDonald painting on canvases for your viewing pleasure. Watch as Emcee Brian Geer challenges them to paint with unusual objects or other ideas he has to keep them on their artistic toes. At the end of the night, two lucky people will take home these one-of-a-kind creations through the Golden Raffle. Find our volunteers roaming around to get your extra tickets!
And, in a new idea for us, you can own a masterpiece for just $25 or $50. Yes, that’s right… own a Leo Osborne, a Jennifer Bowman or a Donna Nevitt-Radtke – or one of many many others for just $25 or $50. In our new fundraising fun, local artists have painted small canvases and donated them to our Artists for Education program. First come, first serve on purchasing these small art pieces!
Tickets are on sale NOW through this link or by stopping by our office. Seating is limited so everyone can enjoy the dueling piano show in relative comfort!
