Fine Art Award winners

We are pleased to announce $12,400 in Fine Art Awards for 2019. Top honors went to Leslie Stoner from Oak Harbor who won both Best of Show and the Eve Deisher Creative Excellence Award. ¬†Lanny Bergner, Anacortes and Lori Nelson-Clonts, Maple Falls received Excellence Awards selected by the Juror Joanna Sikes. ¬†Hart James, Olympia, received the Festival Award and Susan Williams, Friday Harbor, received the Bill Mitchell Memorial Award. ¬†Finally, Suze Woolf from Seattle received the T Bailey Corporate Award. A new Art is Schools Purchase Award sponsored by Keith Sorenson will place a sculpture by Susan Williams in Whitney Elementary. Our Anacortes Collects partner this year is the Anacortes Police Department…who will be choosing a piece to hang in the lobby of the police station. Finally, the Peoples Choice Award is announced at the end of the Festival and chosen by the voting public.
