Volunteer With Us!
It takes an army of highly dedicated volunteers to help make our Festival weekend run smoothly. We have more than 250 volunteers helping over the course of three days. We have people working as art docents at the fine art show, manning the information booth, delivering food to our booth vendors, booth sitting when artists need a break, working in the beer and wine gardens … plus so much more!
Volunteers are the heart of our organization and we are fortunate to have so many community members excited to give their time to welcome visitors and support our efforts. We are always looking for new volunteers, if you would like to help, use the link below to check out available opportunities. Volunteers get a discounted price on Festival t-shirts and a thank you party after the Festival.

Do we have reserved parking?

We do not have reserved parking – sorry! Please plan to get to the festival a little early and find parking on the side streets off of O Avenue or R Avenue. Getting dropped off or carpooling is recommended.
Where do I go at the start of my shift!?

Art Ambassadors (Pre-Festival & Festival): Depot Art Center (611 R Avenue)
Booth Artist Set-up Helpers: Back of the Festival Office (505 O Avenue)
Wine Garden or Beer Garden Set-up Helpers: Right to the Beer or Wine Garden.
Beer Garden – 3rd Street & Commercial
Wine Garden – 10th Street & Commercial
Booth Sitters: The volunteer canopy at 5th and Commercial, on the curb near Gere-a-Deli
Coffee Servers: Back of the Festival Office (505 O Avenue)
Hideout Bar: Right to the Beer Garden at 3rd and Commercial
Information Booth: First shift – back of the Festival Office, All other shifts – right to the Information Booth at 5th & Commercial
Lunch Service: The volunteer canopy at 5th and Commercial, on the curb near Gere-a-Deli
Snack Delivery: Back of the Festival Office (505 O Avenue)
Wine Garden: Right to the Wine Bar at 10th and Commercial
Youth Area: Right to the Youth Area at 6th and Commercial. Look to one of the three AAF booths on the north side of the street for our lead volunteer.
Who do I contact if I have questions?

There will be an area leader in each of your areas. That person will be your point of contact for your shift and has the contact information for anything needed during the festival.

What should I wear?

Preferably an Arts Festival t-shirt, your name tag and comfortable shoes. Prepare for all kind of weather. Bring a water bottle.
Where do I send people for Lost & Found and other questions?

Is there anywhere to store my purse or other things?

For most roles, there is a place at the Depot, the Arts Festival Office or points of liquor sale to store your things. Volunteer roles that are a little harder to store things: Youth Area and Booth Sitters.
I didn’t make it to t-shirt and badge pick-up, what do I do?

Please stop by the Festival Office before July 30 to get checked in. Best hours are 11:00 – 3:00p.m. on any of the remaining weekdays before July 30. We ask that you be patient with our staff as we help you, as it’s sometimes a little chaotic in the office at this time.
